Our Story

Located on the original Hudson’s site, Pine Hall pays homage to Detroit’s past—and the storied Pine Room—through vintage keepsakes and ice-cold cocktails featuring Michigan spirits. As the first Detroit outpost of Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, founded in New York City in 1985, Pine Hall brings four decades of hospitality to the city, drawing on the spirit of beloved restaurants like Gramercy Tavern and Shake Shack.

We're proud to serve up classic cocktails made with spirits from close to home, cold beer, and tavern fare that feels familiar—and perhaps just a bit better than you remember it.

Drink & Eat

From snacks and drinks at the bar or around the outdoor fire pits, to settling into a full meal - the food menu is built to pair with whatever's in your glass. Cocktails, local beer, a solid wine list, and creative non-alcoholic drinks are all on the menu. We'll make you a drink that meets the moment.

Know Before You Go

Pine Hall is located at 3000 Nick Gilbert Way on the 12th floor of Hudson's. You can find us halfway down Nick Gilbert Way, past the GM showroom. Head inside, and our team will be waiting to take you upstairs.

There is paid street parking and several garages nearby. Some convenient options include The Z Garage at 1234 Library St. and the One Campus Maritus Garage at 1188 Farmer St. Pine Hall is steps from the QLine and bus stops on Woodward Ave, and a short walk from the People Mover.

Your Gameday Go-To

Pine Hall sits steps from Ford Field, Comerica Park, and Little Caesars Arena. Heading to the game? Stop in for a drink before walking over to the stadium. We'll be ready with drinks and food after the game to celebrate wins and mourn the losses together.

Two TVs in the bar show all Detroit games, so you can watch the whole thing here, catch the first half before walking over, or decompress after the final whistle with a strong drink and a seat by the window. We're built for a crowd and we know how to move when it's game day.
